African lifestyle hotel chain with approx. 750 employees across multiple African countries

Key challenge

Following the pandemic, the organisation experienced rapid growth and expansion opportunities across Africa. To support its repositioning as a lifestyle hotel brand, the company needed to strengthen its HR capabilities, leadership alignment, and organisational culture to support sustainable growth and operational scalability.

The Workforce Readiness Check identified significant gaps between strategic ambitions and operational execution.

Root Cause

Our assessment revealed several organisational and structural challenges:

  • Lack of a future-oriented HR organisational structure aligned with business growth
  • Limited strategic HR support for leadership and operations
  • Undefined HR processes and inconsistent role clarity across the organisation
  • Misalignment between company culture, leadership behaviours, and strategic direction
  • Need for stronger communication and cultural adoption across international teams

What We Have Done

Ewolves conducted a comprehensive Workforce Readiness Check and supported the organisation through strategic HR and cultural transformation initiatives.

Our advisory support included:

HR Initiatives

  • Designed and implemented a future HR organisational structure aligned with strategic growth goals
  • Introduced an HR Business Partner (HR BP) model to strengthen leadership support
  • Standardised HR job descriptions to improve accountability and role clarity
  • Developed and documented key HR processes to support growth and talent management

Cultural Foundations

  • Reviewed and aligned the company’s vision, mission, and values with its lifestyle positioning
  • Defined leadership and employee competencies to support the new cultural framework
  • Introduced tools and activities to strengthen cultural adoption across teams
  • Developed a phased communication and change roadmap to embed organisational values

Our Impact

Within six months after project kick-off, the organisation achieved measurable progress across HR structure, leadership, and cultural alignment.

Key outcomes included:

  • Establishment of the HR Business Partner structure
  • Recruitment and onboarding of three new HR team members during project roll-out
  • Training of leadership and change ambassadors in both French and English
  • Successful implementation and communication of company values across international subsidiaries
  • Stronger organisational alignment between culture, leadership, and business growth objectives

Was mich antreibt:

What Motivates Me:

I am driven by a positive outlook on life. “Ethics First, Team Up & Think Positive” are the values I stand for. My guiding principle is “Nothing is impossible,” because there’s always a way: daring to leave your comfort zone and involving others to best utilize the collective intelligence of the team in finding solutions.

Through my work, I want to contribute to maintaining a strong middle class in Germany and building economies in developing and emerging countries – elements that, in my view, are essential for the democracy of tomorrow (and the world of tomorrow for my children).
